The building consists of six levels accessible via circulation stairs, three lifts and caters for a maximum of 200 staff members. It is a 6 * Green Design rated building. The roof area has been treated as the Fifth Elevation and houses more of the roof gardens already present on lower levels. These are on top of the roof structure, but also on the lift overruns and connecting canopies. The parking area is covered with Photovoltaic panels addressing two important aspects, Solar power generation as well as covered parking. The building comprises of roof and vertical gardens to improve on a non-existing ecological environment of the site. The site has three road edges as described above and 2 fully built edges comprising of commercial buildings.
AL&A’s role as project manager is to manage and co-ordinate the consultants, client and contractor, and thus complete the project on time, within budget and to the required quality. AL&A fulfilled the role of Principal Agent on behalf of the client during the project’s construction.
